Training approach
Claudia describes her training approach as being kind, fair and effective. You can expect to learn how to use treats, toys and clickers effectively. She believes that the cornerstone of success is that both dog and handler enjoy their training time together, and it’s something they both want to do.
Gundog experience
Claudia has been working every winter on different shoots for 15 years. She also works in the summer stewarding and helping to run field trials. She has won novice tests with her Golden Retriever who went on to win awards in open tests.
Particular breed knowledge
Claudia’s expertise is with retrievers and spaniels – she has worked Labradors, Golden Retrievers and Cockers. She is currently training an English Springer Spaniel with the aim of competing in working tests.
