About Will and his dogs
Will has owed and trained gundogs since his first Labrador in 1999. He currently has two Labradors, Ruby and her daughter Chili.
Training approach
Will is a force free positive reinforcement trainer who uses the latest training methods and fun to get the best results. He believes this is the key to enjoyable and relaxed training and gets the best out of both handler and dog.
Gundog experience
Will works his dogs throughout the shoot season on small shoots in Leicestershire, and out of season enters fun scurries. He has taken both his dogs to Grade 4 of The Gundog Club grades, both passing every grade with distinction.
Particular breed knowledge
Will specialises in retriever training but has also successfully taught owners of spaniels and HPRs. He welcomes all breeds to puppy classes and pet gundog classes.
Services offered
Will offers group gundog training for all ages of dog as well as 121 sessions. He supports novice and experienced owners wishing to take their dog through the Gundog Club grades, to prepare for the field or just enjoy gundog activities.
Qualifications and other achievements
In addition to his Gundog Club accreditation, Will is a qualified instructor with the IMDT and a fully approved instructor and assessor with the ADTB.
He also holds a diploma in Canine Communication.
Will takes every opportunity to expand his skills and knowledge and is always up to date with what is happening in the dog and gundog world.
