Our Warwickshire trainer, Sally Richardson, has been competing with her golden retrievers for seventeen years.
She has won numerous open Field Trial awards and two of her dogs were Field Trial Champions by the age of three.
She is now working with her very promising seven month old dog. Sally also has four labradors and a cocker spaniel to ensure she is kept busy.
Qualifications and Experience
Sally has been training and competing with golden retrievers since 2000, and has been teaching since 2010, qualifying with APDT.
She is a Kennel Club B Panel retriever judge, and competes nationally at a high level, making up two of her golden retrievers to Field Trial Champions.
She has been involved with Gundog displays at Crufts for many years, and more recently has done Golden Retriever displays at the Game Fair.
Sally is a retriever expert, and due to her experience with judging and competing at working tests and field trials her speciality is helping people who aspire to compete with gundog breed retrievers or who already are competing.
She offers owners of gundog retrievers 121s, plus groups, all day workshops, and weekend/week breaks.
Sally also has a cocker spaniel so has experience with training spaniels to be happy pets and can help clients channel their needs, as she can help generally with any breed of gundog. But she doesn’t run classes for spaniels, or other gundog breeds, only 121s are available.
